A little clarity before we get started.
Understanding the cost of therapy shouldn’t feel complicated. Here’s what you need to know about insurance, private pay, and what to expect before we begin.
Insurance
I will begin accepting insurance through Alma on October 1, 2026. Because plan participation can vary by state and may change over time, please visit my Alma profile for the most current information about accepted insurance plans and eligibility.
Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan. Alma can help you verify your benefits and provide information about your expected costs before beginning therapy. Private-pay sessions through Alma are available now.
Private Pay
Michigan: $120 per 60-minute session
California: $140 per 60-minute session
Shorter sessions may be available when clinically appropriate; fees are based on session length.
Private-pay sessions are available now through Alma. Payment is handled securely through the platform, and your session fee will be confirmed before beginning therapy.
Good Faith Estimates
If you are uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care under the federal No Surprises Act.
Your Good Faith Estimate will be provided as part of the intake process and will reflect the anticipated frequency and cost of services based on your individual treatment plan. Because therapy needs can change over time, the estimate may be updated when appropriate.
